In the Beginning…
In 1994 Kerry Farnsworth in her early 20's saw an opportunity to supply local farmers with agricultural feeds and products. From a small unit that was formerly a car showroom on Leicester Road, Market Harborough, Welland Valley Feeds was born.
Strength to Strength
As Welland Valley Feeds grew, so did our customer base, and listening to customer needs has always been at the core of Welland Valley Feeds' principles the store then diversified into wider selection of products, including pet and equestrian supplies was soon to be found on the shelves. A free delivery service to the local area was introduced, and members of staff were trained as SQPs (Animal Medicines Advisors) to dispense a range of animal medicines and treatments.
New Home!
After 15 years on Leicester Road, the demands of the business and customers alike meant a new, larger location was required, and in 2009 after reaching its maximum capacity at the much loved Leicester Road store, we moved to our current location on the Rockingham Road Industrial Estate. Initially only occupying the ground floor, we have since expanded into the whole building in 2021, offering thousands of products over hundreds of square feet of retail space.
Onwards and Upwards
In 2024, we celebrated our 30th anniversary with several events in store. We were absolutely delighted when, in 2025, we were voted Equestrian Retailer of the Year at the British Equestrian Trade Awards, after being nominated by our customers. It was truly wonderful to have our hard work and commitment recognised by our customers and the wider trade.

As our fourth decade of serving Market Harborough continues, our focus is to maintain the exceptional standards of products, services, and customer service that have characterised the way we do business since day one. We pride ourselves on being the area’s largest supplier of high-quality agricultural, equine, and pet supplies, and we're proud to stock a wide range of independent brands and specialist products.

The Summer of 2026 saw the completion of our newly refurbished first floor where we offer a huge range of country and equestrian clothing and footwear, stable and yard equipment, riding hats and body protectors, toys, and school shoes. Our highly trained and friendly team are always on hand to assist, whether it’s to fit safety equipment or shoes, or to simply carry your bags to your car for you!
